Yet lots of people don’t like to write, and many more don’t even know how. One of society’s most common problems consist of not knowing the difference between “your” and “you’re,” as well as accidentally proclaiming your proclivity towards cannibalism (“Let’s eat Grandma!”).With such a poor track record, it’s easy to blow off trying to write an amazing guest post. Most people pump out guest posts as fast, and as generic, as any manufacturing line. This process leaves a lot to be desired and forces link builders to contact hundreds of bloggers just to acquire a handful of links. There are more effective ways to persuade bloggers into getting what you want.
There are tons of great articles out there, but I have compiled a list of some of the best advice in recent months that cover every aspect imaginable about guest blogging.
In one of the most recent articles of 2013, Dholakiya provides a comprehensive understanding of all five steps for guest blogging: finding opportunities, brainstorming, writing, outreach and promotion. There’s also an easy-to-read list of the 40 DOs and DON’Ts of guest posting.
At times, the “why” is always the hardest to understand when you are doing something repeatedly that can turn mind-blowingly boring. Google can be a pain. You know and I know it, and I’ll probably say that even after Google develops Skynet properties. Be smart and reduce your link building time while still increasing your links.
The more effective you are at what you do the higher the possibility of actually getting links. Don’t let all your efforts just be a shout out into the dark. Cultivate your talents so that when you have something great and interesting to say there will actually be people out there listening.
Writing an article about a topic you initially have no clue about, (or maybe didn’t even care to know about) can be frustrating and results in wasted time. The thing is, you can always find a way to relate, or seem knowledgeable about your topic even if you just became an expert an hour beforehand.

I thought I would mix it up a little with a video with Rand from SEOMoz who offers his insight and experience with guest posting.
This post is worthy of reading just for the Legend of Zelda puns. Need I say more?
This article is an interesting social experiment that puts some myths about link building to test and shows the real data and outcomes. Let me just say this: it’s good to be a woman.
